Earth Day Project #1

This year Mrs. Leslie and I decided to do a big Earth Day Celebration with our 3rd graders. We will be learning how to do our part to be Earth Smart and how we can work to make Earth Day Everyday. We will be completing several activities during the month of April

For the first Earth Day project we printed each childs hand to later turn into an Earth. We used green tempera paint for this and pre cut circles. I will post images of the completed project later on. Here are some images of the first step, printing the hand.

Here are some images of the kids printing their hands.

While students took turns printing the others had an Earth Day Folder that I had previously made for each student. While they waited to print they worked on a coloring page in the folder. We also read information about Earth Day that was put in the folder and a cute poem about ways we could help make the earth better. Here are some images of the students who were coloring in the Earth Day Folders while waiting to print.
